Our Life Sciences team have an extensive background as educators and researchers in the sector before joining the IP profession and as in-house IP counsel in the sector. The team boasts a former global head of a large pharmaceutical company and a former senior IP manager for an international specialist healthcare company. With STEM backgrounds in Molecular Biology, Molecular Biophysics, Organic Chemistry and Bioengineering the team collectively has experience across a huge range of subject matter in the sector including; vaccines, fermentation, antibodies, immunology, sequencing and amplification, epigenetics, modified and thermostable enzymes, bone and cartilage regeneration, drug delivery and pharmaceuticals. Supported by our Software and AI experts they are also well equipped to handle subject matter such as bioinformatics and diagnostics. Team members have excellent track records in oppositions, interventions, litigation and devising smart risk mitigation strategies to facilitate freedom to operate in dense technology landscapes.
